Social Equity Solutions

Social Equity Solutions (SES) is a Michigan-based cannabis consultancy founded by Melissa Jekel, helping cannabis operators, social equity applicants, and nonprofits navigate CRA compliance, licensing, grant funding, and community impact programs.

SES is a recognized Michigan Cannabis Regulatory Agency Social Equity Grant Program grantee (FY 2024 and FY 2025), holds Gold-level CRA All-Star certification, and won the 2025 Community Impact Award. Based in Grand Rapids, MI, SES also runs the Task Force 1620 Community Access Network, connecting Michigan veterans with discounted or free cannabis access at licensed retailers.
